Llanelli 10K

Macmillan has the full support of the Llanelli10k organising team. You can help Macmillan support and care for people with cancer by participating in this event.

Part of your entry fee will be donated to Macmillan but why stop there? You could help Macmillan further by raising funds through sponsorship and other fund raising activity. You can also if able donate money directly to Macmillan to support the fantastic work they are doing. This event aims to help Macmillan's cause especially within Llanelli and the surrounding area

The number of people receiving a cancer diagnosis in South West Wales has increased in the past 5 years. Consequently the demand for our services has also increased. With your help Macmillan Cancer Support is working hard to help people living with cancer in this area.

We want to be a source of support and a force for change to all who need us.

We are hoping to raise £800,000 over the next 3 years to fund 6 new cancer specialists; these include a Social Worker and a Benefits Advisor both of whom will be based in the Carmarthenshire area, and will join the existing team of Macmillan post holders all working together to make life better for those living locally with cancer and their families .Macmillan also offers financial help - Macmillan grants which are given to those patient and families experiencing financial difficulties. Last year in the Carmarthenshire area thanks to local donations Macmillan paid £13,911 in grants helping 39 families. We could not hope to achieve this without the help of our supporters.
